"This year July month has five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays!" This is the message floating around in some email chains, further saying - "Apparently this happens only once in every 823 years! And this is called Money Bags or The Month of the Money Bags. According to Fengshui if you send/share this message/mail to others then money will arrive in four or five days. But one who does not forward the mail will have financial trouble."

I heard from some fengshui consultant that there is no such kind of belief or practice in fengshui. The Money Bag symbol is used in Chinese Fengshui. The statue or symbol of Happy Buddha carrying the money bag is used as good omen. But there is no such practice as sending message or emails.

And more importantly, it is true that in year 2011 July month has five Fridays, five Saturdays and five Sundays. But it is not true that it is happening only once in 823 years. For instance this happened in the years 1994 and 2005. It will happen again in 2016, 2022, 2033, 2044, 2050 and so on.

In any month with 31 days three consecutive days repeat five times. Whenever the 1st falls on a Friday of the month that has 31 days, you will have 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. In case if you receive this kind of mails, you need not bother to forward it to others fearing you may get financial problems. If you are forwarding it just for information of others it may be fine. I know most of the people are not superstitious, but many think that why to take a risk and forward the mail to their relatives and friends. My personal suggestion is - don't get scared and certainly don't plan big spends thinking money will come to you because you have forwarded the mail to many. I will be certainly very happy if you get such wealth. So if you get it be happy, but if you don't get it don't feel disheartened. If you got it, don't think that you got it because of sending the message to many, you would have got it even if you have not sent those messages.

Similar to this, there are many spam and hoax mails or messages circulating in email chains / Watsapp groups. Once again my suggestion is do not get scarred and do not bother to forwarding it. This way you will also help to keep others mail-box or mobile storage space clutter free.
